Front Pages of the World

1. My favorite front page is San Antonio Express-News from San Antonio, Texas USA. Mainly because it is organized really good and it has different colors and it catches your attention from the way the Newspaper is laid out from the different action verbs and words.

2. My favorite headline from it is Charges soon expected in Boston Blasts, I'm interested in it because the word's ''Charges'' , and ''Blasts'' catch your attention, and it's a controversial topic everybody faces today and many people have their own opinions towards it.

3. Their is 5 pages.

4. They all have at least 7 to 8 words for the headline and they all have a story relating to their own new's, and something in common to other news around the world, and the lay out is a little similar to a little detail they all share.

5. They are different from eachother because they have different color and many of them use a different font that is different from the others, that they use for each publish.

Rules of Photography:

Simplicity:It has a simple background.

Cropping: You can only see the face, which makes it the main subject.

Rule of Third's: You can focus on the drool or eyes for the first thing.

New's Value:

Human Interest
Timeliness
Proximity

Lighting/Exposure

Len's:
Prime Lens.

Making It Better:
Change the setting, and move him somewhere else where.

Lenses and Photography Vocabulary

I would use a Telephoto lens to zoom in more and expose the main subject more than any other thing that we don't want to use in the photo.

I would use a Prime Lens to Expose a little more things in the photo, and use it for a darker place for the subject of the photo.

I would use a Wide-Angle lens to show everything that we need in the photo, as if we are taking a photo with a regular lens.

Depth of Field - Is how far the photo is and how wide it is going to be for the viewer. This is important because it helps show how far the photo is and how many things you are willing to put in the photo, and how wide it is to show those things.

Light - It is the intensity of how you see it, and if it is bright enough for you to see it in the right angle. This is the most important part of the photo, because you will not be able to see the photo if you have to much, and if it is too dark then the photo will be less exposed, and you need to be able to see the main subject to feel the scene in the photo.

Shadow's - Is when you are able to see a dark substance in the photo, to attract you attention and eliminate the main subject.

Diffusion - Is when you are making the light less exposed. This is important because it helps get the right amount of light you need in the photo.

Exposure - Is when you show how much you need to in the photo, and how wide or little it is. This can he;p you eliminate the things you don't need in the photo, and help the viewer focus on the main subject more.

Aperture - Is how much light you get in the camera to the photo, which means high aperture means less light, and low means more light. This can affect very badly in the photo and if it is set to low than you will get more whiteness in the photo, and you barely be able to see anything in the photo.

Shutter Speed - Is how fast the camera opens and closes for the movement in the scene of the photo. It's very important for the photo because it affects the photo speed and movement and if you don't set it right then your photo will be to blurry.

ISO - Is how much sensitivity the photo takes in and the more grain, and fuzziness you have in the photo, and it affects the noise in the photo. This helps the photo look more clearer and show you how much things you need the change for the ISO to just right for the sensitivity in the photo.

The 7 News Values in the News

Timeliness - Spring storm leaves 3 dead, hits Mid-Atlantic
I chose this one because it happened really recently and it was posted today early in the morning, and the fact's about it are fresh, and they provide a lot of them for this event since it happened recently.

Proximity - Texas’ senators oppose debating federal gun legislation
I chose this because it happened in are state, and concerns us because the news is affecting us towards our state.

Prominence - N.C. univ. locked down on report of armed man on campus
This one was mainly chosen because it affected a whole entire place, and they had to be put on lock down, due to an armed gun some where on the campus, and it worried families and many people, and that's why it is important and news worthy.

Impact - In Seoul, Kerry Warns North Korea Against Missile Test
I chose this because it has a big impact towards our state's, and it show's the conflict between the to, and mostly because since this has been going for a while, everybody knows about it and wants to hear more.

Conflict -Fla. parents who kidnapped boys to remain in jail
I chose this for conflict due to its a conflict for kidnapping and it grabs your attention, and they face charges and its a conflict for why and what they did it for.

Human Interest - Arrest of 3 teens in cyberbullying case opens raw wounds
I chose this because the parents are struggling with the death of their daughter,a dn try to realize why the three boys would do this type of thing to the girl.

Novelty - Man tries to take photo of beaver; it kills him
I chose this because the man was attracted to the beaver, and the beaver approached him looking friendly, and severely bit him once and he bled out, and that was an unusual event that took place.

I think the most valuable story was the arrest of the three teens that assaulted the girl and neglected her, because it effected so many people around her, and it was mostly the thing that caught many peoples attention.

I think the most stupid one is when the man got bit by the beaver and was killed by it, mainly because he went close enough to the beaver where it got frustrated and used self defense, bit him, and also because his friends were not quick thinkers to take him to the hospital.
