The Jumping Man Reaction

My reaction to the jumping man, is that he was brave and amazing, because the story Said that everybody was scared and not ready, as for him he was sailing through the air with pride, knowing what was going to happen, but he didn't worry, and he kept going down and down til he disappeared.

Avoiding Mergers

Avoiding Mergers
As you can see they are running we can change the whole different subject to just men running, in a panic.

Lines

Lines
The plane is tilted so you can just cut he photo and make the plane diagonal to show that their is just a plane, but to see the plane going to hit the building makes it more complex for the diagonal position.

The rule of the thirds

The Rule Of the thirds
The building and the what the camera captured shows, how far of height and how big the building was, from where he is falling, we can easily use the rule of the thirds to cut and just show a man falling

Framing

Framing
The man is a really good object for the framing, as he doesn't seem to know whats going on but the camera captures the moment, til he realizes what happened.

Balance

Balance
The hole inside the building makes it seem more like a rectangle than just a irregualr shape, the smoke shows the balance of the building.

Simplicity

Simplicity
The background shows there is trash and nothing, which show that that he has nothing, but if you change the position to it shows the man and the car, it shows that he is homeless, and all he has is whats in his hands, and dust on everything that he wears.

Unusual and interesting Photo's Part 3

1. I think the most best one is, the connection between you and your photo, The facial expression's,  the angle completely changes the illusion.
2.
3.
4. i think the artist did because the way she is positioned shows the emotion, and the way they are looking at you.
5.  My favorite style of is abstract, you can see by the colors what the artist is feeling.

Unusual and interesting Photo's Part 2

1. I chose this photo because you can actually see the speed, of the cars, and the motion, and the intensity.
2. I found this in the Sports journalism of The Year.
3. This was in 1st place.
4. What the photographer did was he made it narrow, and he made the color of the car's seem clearer and gave it a different contrast.
5. I think it caught their eye's because he did it in a different angle and the colors just stood out.
6. he had to get it in the right position to where he had all the cars, and to where they were all tight together.
1. I chose this photo because the surroundings of the guys are out of focus and everything is focused on the guys.
2. I found this is the Photojournalist of the Year (large markets) Category.
3. This was in first place.
4. What the photographer did was make it to where he was at the top, and you could see the impact and the force.
5. i bet it caught their eye's, because you could see the rivalry, and how they just looked like one wanted to be the winner and show their pride, and why they mean business.
6. He had to set the camera up to where you could see the hit and the movement.
1. I chose this photo because you can actually see the emotion from the boys face in the book.
2. I found this in Photojournalist of the Year (smaller markets).
3. This was In first place.
4. the photographer made the photo black and white to see the emotion and feelings.
5.  The reason it caught their eye's because, because  the title of the book ''The Cage'' because it show's what his emotion is.
6.He had to set the position of the boy where the photo matched and lined up with the boys face.

Unusual and Interesting Photo's

1. My reaction was its just the same building just being duplicated, and just rotated.
2. I think how he made it was, all he did was duplicate it, and just rotated and put the camera somw what out of focus.
3. I think the Capitol of Austin would be great because they all seem to be pointing at something, with the point at the top of the building, we could get the building from going there itself and take a photo, or just getting the photo off the internet, and just cropping it out.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

Time Staff Brian Walski was fired for manipulating good original photos with good content, the reason why was because when he took the photo a missile failed to launch, so he used the cloning effect and cloned one of the missiles, Adnan Hajj manipulated another photo from a buiilding to  make it darker with ore smoke, after an airstrike, from the buildings in Suburban Beirut.
Issam Kobeisi, used the same cloning effect three times with the same women, in different photos, without the name of the women all three times.
I think its Acceptable because if you trying to make a perfect photo for a paper, or your job its acceptable because your fixing the mistake that YOU made in the photo and if the brightness is to dak or to high you can fix it.

I think this is the most unethical, because everybody seem to be looking to the left and some to the right, they didn't need to add another person to the photo that are looking the same way with the main two people in the photo but more happy, and energetic, because he doesn't fit because his expression of smile seems to be more excited for something else.

I think this is the most ethical because this is what the ''Daily News'' wants to make them look like they're debating on what the people want them to debate about, which they were not, because Bush seems to not be focused on what Saddam is talking about.

National Geographic Warm-up

I like this photo because they way he is positioned, like he is crouching to see what kind of effect to capture. The way the clouds form around before it strikes, then you can see from the clouds the sparks. The way you can see the clouds from the lighting swirl around, then when it strikes the ground the color is mixed with red, and orange.
I would like to submit a photo of an animal jumping over a small narrow river at night, and have a light to glare his eyes, and to see half of his body so you can identify what kind of animal, the thing that would matter to me, is the position the animal has as he jumps over.

Touching Peope

1. i think its good to interact with one another, but at first its weird but once you think about it its not so bad. They all seem awkward and you can actually feel it, but after they will probably talk, but they seem to not really mind it.

2. At first it would be kind of weird and awkward, but then if its a stranger willing to do it, and looks nice to talk to, then yeah i would do it.

3. One unusual photo shoot is where theirs a lot of people in different postures and positions and different expressions for what they're doing.

4. Yes the photos were good but the only thing is that the brightness and the contrast, its a very interesting concept.

40 Greatest Photos Taken

Just because it showed a sign of respect for one man, the monk showed that they care. He set up the photo to where all the crowed was shocked and worried, while the monk was calm. It made the best 40 photos ever because it was unique in a place were everything is busy, and one big thing is happening and everybody stops at the moment to see and show respect.

It made me pick it because the boy knows whats going on, usually kids don't know whats happening.
The surrounding and the silence and the boys courage. The way the camera is positioned and how the color shows the right moment of respect.
He showed a lot of courage showing he is not scared. The way they look each other right in the eye not aware of their surroundings. Just the way he is willing to fight and he escape and came back over 200 times to see the love of his life, knowing that he might be found or killed.

Camera History and Information

The Camera

1. The camera obscura is achieved by, light is focused and the outside scene is projected.

2. When Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens perfected the understanding of optics and the process f making high quality glass lenses.

3. A glass lens, a dark box, and film.

4.  Very easy to use, just point and shoot, light passes through the lens and expose, and expose the film.

5. Replacing old-fashioned plastic film, digital cameras capture the images with an electronic sensor called a CCD.

Camera Modes
 6. The fully automatic (A)uto or (P)rogram mode is the default for most modern cameras. The photographer can simply aim, press the button, and almost be guaranteed a great image.

 7.
To attempt to blur out the background, camera will try to use the fastest available lens setting (aperture).

8. To freeze motion, camera will use the highest shutter speed possible.

The Half Press
 9. To focus, and faster camera response.

Controlling Flash

10. No flash, when he scene is dramatic, and when you don't want flash at all.

11. It means the light will flash if it thinks it needs more flash, and its auto flashed.

Introduction to Exposure

12. The picture will be washed out

13. If there is not enough light the picture will be too dark.

The Universal Stop

14. A stop is a aspect of photography to represent a relative change in the brightness of light.

15. There would be 1 step.

16. It would be 4 because one step equals one step.

Shutters and Aperture

17. It means more light.

18. It means i has less light.

19. It controls the opening of the lens.
 20. By having a larger opening.

First Photo's - Best and Worst

I like this photo not only because of the angle, the way they turn the way and listen, and they seem focused.  Its also good because the lighting changes and fits the way the stand and pay attention. The only bad thing is that the lights cuts off on them, but still a great photo.

I like and also dislike this at the same time. The good thing is that i got them while they were focused on the exact moment of her shoes. The bad thing is that i wanted to be able to see there reflection through the floor.
